Miranda Sykes and Rex Preston - A rare local performance

Following on from the amazing response we've had to our evening with Steve Knightley, The Band Company have been asked to run another event, and this one promises to be every bit as exciting.

The inspirational melding of musical chameleon Miranda Sykes and mandolin maestro Rex Preston has produced one of the most unexpected and exciting new pairings on the acoustic roots scene. With an enviable pedigree, Miranda is known as the stand-out bass player and spine-tingling vocalist who has brilliantly enriched the Show of Hands sound for the past nine years while former Scoville Units band member Rex is recognised as one of the finest young mandolin players in the UK.

Miranda Sykes and Rex Preston have emerged to become one of the most sought after duos on the English folk & roots scene.

For just a few dates on the 2015 tour Miranda and Rex will be joined by American guitarist, the internationally acclaimed Grant Gordy, and we are very pleased to announce this event will be one of those dates.  Miranda and Rex will be coming to Hernhill village hall on 12th May 2015 get your tickets here
